Frequently Asked Questions for Schools and Childcare Providers

What makes Groove Move Kids Unique?

We appreciate that there’s a number of enrichment and value-add programs for schools and childcare providers, and children and parents, to choose from. Groove Move Kids serves to inspire and motivate broad interest and knowledge within children, rather than foster a specific interest or skill development in any one sport, movement activity, or dance form. The benefits of Groove Move Kids serve children well in both academic and social settings, and in any sport, activity, or dance effort they may choose to pursue in tandem to Groove Move Kids or later in life. Our talented, top-notch Instructors inspire our Groovers and Movers through a class structure that is highly motivational, empowering, fun, and challenging.

How are Groove Move Kids classes scheduled?

Typically, classes are held on a weekly basis for 45 minutes. Programs are 6 weeks in length. Class/program scheduling is coordinated between Groove Move Kids and your school or childcare center. The first class of every program is always a complimentary trial class for new Groovers and Movers. Everyone benefits from our no risk, no obligation introduction.

What is your class and/or program pricing?

Typically, parents pay Groove Move Kids directly for each 6 week program. However, we do have schools and childcare centers who choose to cover or share the cost with parents—we’re happy to discuss this further. When launching at your school or childcare center, the first class is a complimentary trial class for all interested children. For those who choose to continue, the remaining 5 classes of the 6 week program are $125 Cost breakdown is $25 per child, per class. Beyond this, the cost is $150 for each 6 week program. Reminder, the first class of every program is always a complimentary trial class for new Groovers and Movers. We do offer a sibling discount—$120 per 6 week program ($20 per class). Children are allowed 1 makeup class per 6 week program—receiving a class credit for the next scheduled program.

What’s required of our school or childcare provider?

Groove Move Kids classes can be held indoors or outdoors in an appropriate and safe space. Total time and space impact is 75 minutes. Instructors arrive 15 minutes prior to class for set-up and pre-class administration and depart 15 minutes after class ends, allowing for breakdown and post-class administration. School and childcare center teachers/aides are not required to be present during classes, but are always welcome!
We handle the heavy lifting—from A to Z. Here’s how: Groove Move Kids will provide and place promotional posters and resource you with appropriate parent handouts; manage registrations, waivers, and payments; provide and place our “This Week at Groove Move Kids” poster after every class to showcase weekly activities and skills learned; and share language that can be dropped into your own website, newsletters, emails, and social media. At the end of every class, Groovers and Movers are awarded a special sticker—to celebrate their efforts and demonstrate to parents that their child participated. Our goal is to ensure every child/parent also receives a personal note from our Instructor during each program sharing praise and encouragement. Additionally, Groove Move Kids will send a weekly email to parents communicating activities and skills learned, and a music playlist so children and parents can share the Groove Move Kids experience at home.
If for any reason a class needs to be cancelled, Groove Move Kids and your school or childcare center will work to reschedule during the current program. If rescheduling proves challenging, children and parents will receive notice of a class credit for the next scheduled program.

What are your Instructor to child ratios?
